A self-taught visual artist, he develops his painting through instinct and experimentation with paints, color combinations, and tones, resulting in a colorful, vibrant body of work—often featuring the saturated hues that have become his signature style. Art has become a powerful tool, connecting the artist to his ancestry. Curiosity about African culture and its influence on Brazilian culture led him to delve into Yoruba mythology; consequently, this theme predominates in his work. He frequently depicts the *orishas*—portraying their attire and attributes—and emphasizes the importance of protecting and preserving ancestral knowledge to keep the tradition alive.
He draws upon the aesthetics of African prints to complement his research; African fabrics carry diverse meanings, ranging from festive contexts to the representation of hierarchy within the *terreiros* (ritual spaces) of African-derived religions. In 2023, the artist was selected for the 14th edition of the *Salão dos Artistas Sem Galeria* (Salon of Artists Without Galleries), an annual event organized by Mapa das Artes; that same year, his work was exhibited at the 20th Contemporary Art Salon of Jataí (Goiás). In 2024, he was selected for the 19th edition of the long-standing *Abre Alas* exhibition, organized by the A Gentil Carioca gallery.
