Born in Brasília in 1989, Gaya Rachel currently lives in Rio de Janeiro, where she works across painting, drawing, printmaking, theater, performance art, workshops, and street art, among other forms of creative expression. She is a founding member of Companhia Volante and currently performs in the show *Panidrom*—directed by João Pedro Orban and winner of the "Best Show" category at the *Questão de Crítica* magazine's Yan Michalski Awards.
 

She studies Painting at the School of Fine Arts (UFRJ). Since 2013, she has held solo and group exhibitions at venues such as Ateliê Mulheres de Pedra (Pedra de Guaratiba), Hotel da Loucura (at the Nise da Silveira Psychiatric Hospital in Engenho de Dentro, RJ), Quinta Palavra (Botucatu, SP), and the Hélio Oiticica Municipal Arts Center (Rio de Janeiro, RJ), among others.
 

She is a member of the street art collective Coletivx Dulcinéia and collaborates with the Mulheres de Pedra collective; this partnership led to the creation of the short film *Elekô*, which won awards for Best Sound Design, Best Fiction, and Best Film at the 72h - RIO festival.
